Aviston Woman Wins Baby Quilt
St. Joseph-Breese Auxiliary members (standing, from left) Joyce Gilomen of Trenton, Margaret Jakel and Roberta “Bobbie” Deters of Breese, help Mary Jane Fuhler of Aviston display the 90-inch by 108-inch quilt in solid heather blue with a scalloped border and dark blue stitching she won on the organization’s Sept. 22 drawing. The other raffle winner was Joanne Becker of Breese who took home the cross-stitched baby quilt. Tickets are now on sale for the Auxiliary’s Winter Quilt Raffle featuring a 44-inch by 60-inch baby quilt with embroidered Christmas symbols, and a 94-inch by 111-inch pieced Christmas quilt with a seasonal print. The drawing is Friday, Dec. 21. A silent auction quilt is on display in the Cafeteria Hallway with bids accepted until 3 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays and quilts in various sizes are for sale in the hospital Gift Shop. The Gift Shop additionally stocks used books, seasonal and other merchandise and Auxiliary members sell used books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays in the Cafeteria.
