Local Woman Wins Baby Quilt
As one of the winners in the St. Joseph-Breese Auxiliary Fall Quilt Raffle, Joanne Becker of Breese will take home a cross-stitched baby quilt with baby animals and blocks in the center, letters around the perimeter and multi-colored points. Helping Becker display her win is Mary Aubuchon of Aviston. Both women are hospital Auxiliary members; Aubuchon is also a Past President. Also raffled off during the Sept. 22 drawing was a 90-inch by 108-inch quilt in solid heather blue with a scalloped border and dark blue stitching which went to Mary Jane Fuhler of Aviston. Tickets are now on sale for the Auxiliary’s Winter Quilt Raffle featuring a 44-inch by 60-inch baby quilt with embroidered Christmas symbols, and a 94-inch by 111-inch pieced Christmas quilt with a print of holly, berries and pine.
