“The residents of this area are very supportive of St. Joseph’s in Breese and this is our way of giving back,” said Brian Moeller, the new hospital Development Director.

Thanks to donated funds, the Friends of St. Joseph’s were able to underwrite the $95,000 cost of X-ray equipment at the permanent Priority Care in Carlyle. Having X-ray equipment on-site allows Priority Care staff to provide a quicker diagnosis and treatment at a greater convenience for patients, Moeller said.

The Friends also contributed $75,000 toward Women and Infants Center renovations, underwrote the $.5 million digital mammography project and contributed $75,000 for the HealthPlex aquatic therapy pool.

“We are very grateful to our donors for their support of these projects and others like them,” Moeller said. “They allow the hospital to continue to provide top-rated quality health care close to home.”
